This species of Char are sea run and are much larger than their cousin the Arctic Char. They come back into the lakes in the fall to spawn. While their average size is 5 to 7 lbs, many double-digit fish are caught each year.

GRAYLING

The Grayling are a beautiful, shimmering fish with a large dorsal and a tender mouth. They will challenge the finesse of any fisherman. They're easy to lose, but leave your fly in the water and you just might hook another one on the retrieve.

PIKE
…Strip. Strip. Strip. Yikes!
Average size: 5-10 pounds
State record: 38 lbs. 0 oz.
Northern Pike are very aggressive (FUN) in June and July—the months following ice out and spawn. Their predatory tendencies make for some explosive strikes.

June 1-July 30 (note: pike fishing is typically good all summer)
ARCTIC CHAR

Average size: 4-6 pounds
State record: 19 lbs. 12 oz.
Arctic Char remain in fresh water their entire lives. While the average size of this fish is only 4 to 6 lbs, they are one of the most beautiful fish to go after.
