Welcome to Alaska's Rainbow Point Lodge

Caught a 26" rainbow trout lately? Watched a silver salmon dance the merengue, suspended in mid-air? We have, and we'd love to share the experience. Welcome to our home--the Alaska Rainbow Point Lodge—where we eat, sleep, breathe, catch and release some of the greatest sport fish in Alaska.

2010 RESERVATIONS

Check out our fishing reports, photos and stories on our Alaska Fishing Blog >>

We are presently taking reservations for the 2010 Alaska Fishing season.  Please call us at 1-877-850-5858 for information or to make a booking

Space is limited and clients are booked on a first come first serve basis.  June is the big month for Alaska dry fly fishing for trophy rainbows and pike. July and August are the best months for bright Alaska sockeye fishing combined with fishing for rainbow trout. September and October is the prime fly-fishing season to catch the biggest egg-filled rainbow trout you've ever seen!

Clients who wish to fly fish for trophy trout in Alaska should secure a date as soon as possible.

One to One. We should probably change our name to "One-on-One Lodge" because our crew of one manager, one pilot/gourmet chef, four guides and a maid nearly outnumbers our 6-8 guests. That's an intimacy you won't find in corporate-run megalodges, and we're fanatical about showing our customers a good time:

  • Never thrown a fly? We'll act as your personal fishing coach, and cheer when you land your first fish.
  • Veteran flycaster? We'll help you if you want help, and put you in spots so good you could be giddy by the time you leave.
  • Into ecotouring? Try an Alaskan sea kayak adventure to spot the only fresh water seals in the western hemisphere, or a plane ride to see brown bears at Brooks Falls.

Trophies. We specialize in trophy rainbows, and also fish for arctic char, grayling, salmon, pike and lakers in world-renowned rivers like the Copper, Gibraltar, Moraine, American, Kamishak, and a few secret places we can't mention. This is the first designated Trophy Rainbow Trout Area in Alaska, and we also host thelargest run of sockeye salmon in the world.

Just a short hop from Anchorage, Rainbow Point Lodge on Lake Iliamna is perfect for single anglers, couples or small groups. Got 6-8 anglers? Hey, take over the whole lodge. We'll fill you full of gourmet food, escort you on unforgettable fly-in fishing or eco-touring trips, help you go for the rainbow of a lifetime and send you home armed with enough stories to make your friends turn sockeye-red with envy. Please book early so we can save your fishing spot!

Please keep in mind all activities from the lodge are weather dependent. All activities are accessed by floatplane and/or boat. If there is too much wind or fog, the plane will not fly.
